Leaked Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay clips continue to spread online, attributed to a leaker known as Cyberleek, with the total reaching 16 clips at the time of publication.
On Wednesday morning, Rockstar broke its silence, describing the leaks as "heartbreaking" for its team, while parent company Take-Two escalated legal efforts to identify the leaker.
Cyberleek made good on threats to release footage of Lucia Caminos, the game's second playable character, posting a four-and-a-half-minute prologue video showing Lucia in prison along with minor story spoilers.
Recent leaked clips include the player exploring a nightclub, protagonist Jason riding a bicycle on a crowded beach, Jason browsing a fictional video game retailer, and a police chase after Jason steals a hotrod.
Take-Two has referred to the material as "stolen content" and "leaked gameplay video" in subpoenas, and has moved to subpoena X and Google in its hunt for Cyberleek.
While the clips' authenticity has not been fully verified, Rockstar's statement and Take-Two's legal actions strongly suggest the footage is genuine, according to the report published August 26, 2026 by Mashable's Alex Perry.
