Lamborghini's pricey Revuelto SV supercar debuts at Monterey with scarcity as its strategy, CEO says - Yahoo Finance

Lamborghini unveiled the Revuelto SV at The Quail during Monterey Car Week, calling it the most powerful and fastest production car in its history, powered by a 1,050-horsepower naturally aspirated hybrid V12.
The car starts at $741,172, with prices climbing higher through carbon fiber and "Ad Personam" personalization options, and it does not offer a manual transmission—though CEO Stephan Winkelmann didn't rule that out for future models.
Production is capped at 1,963 units, a nod to Lamborghini's founding year, continuing a lineage of special "super veloce" models that dates to the 1971 Miura SV.
At roughly $750,000 per car across 1,963 units, the run represents at least $1.47 billion in potential sales, with the SV beginning to reach customers in 2027.
Winkelmann emphasized scarcity as strategy, noting strong pre-selling response worldwide and framing limited cars as collectible items that carry the brand's mythology and pricing premiums.
The SV set a production-car lap record at Germany's Hockenheimring, and while Lamborghini's volume comes from the Urus, Temerario, and Revuelto, its limited editions sit atop the product hierarchy.
