Cause of death revealed for 18-year-old ‘Godzilla’ actress Kaylee Hottle, reports say - AZ Family

The Maryland medical examiner determined that 18-year-old actress Kaylee Hottle died from multiple blunt force injuries, ruling her death an accident, according to multiple reports.
Hottle was a passenger in a 1995 Honda Accord that crashed in Ijamsville, Maryland, early Tuesday morning; the vehicle, driven by a 19-year-old man, went off a two-lane road and struck a culvert, the Frederick County Sheriff's Office said.
She was taken to a trauma center where she later died, while the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and another passenger declined medical treatment at the scene; excessive speed is believed to be a factor, and the crash remains under investigation.
Hottle, who was deaf, played Jia, a Skull Island native who communicates with King Kong via sign language, in 2021's "Godzilla vs. Kong" and reprised the role in 2024's "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire."
A senior at the Texas School for the Deaf, she was mourned by the school in an Instagram post asking people to keep her loved ones in their thoughts.
Her father, Joshua Hottle, shared the news in American Sign Language during a Facebook livestream, saying he was traveling from Texas to recover her body; an Atlanta native from a multigenerational deaf family, she began acting in commercials.
