‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Is Second-Fastest Film To Cross $1B At Int’l Box Office; Global Now At $1.67B - Deadline

Sony/Marvel's Spider-Man: Brand New Day, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, crossed $1 billion at the international box office in just 12 days, the second-fastest to reach that mark after Avengers: Endgame.
The film's global total now stands at $1.67 billion ($654.3M domestic, $1.013B overseas), ranking as the 12th highest-grossing movie worldwide and the 16th to top $1B internationally, with $2 billion global potentially within reach.
Domestically, the Tom Holland–Zendaya film earned $144.2M in its second weekend—the third-highest ever and one of only eight films to exceed $100M in a second frame—while its $654.3M ten-day cume is a record.
Ranking No. 1 across most of its 67 markets, China led with $29.1M (cume $186.7M), and the film became India's biggest Hollywood release ever at $52.8M; it trailed only in Korea, where Universal's The Odyssey took the top spot, and in Japan behind animated title Chiikawa.
Other strong holds included Brazil (-33%, $46.3M cume), the UK ($87.4M cume), Mexico ($65.8M cume), France ($49.2M cume), Australia, Germany, and Italy.
Meanwhile, Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey became his highest-grossing film ever at $1.11 billion, the second-biggest R-rated movie behind Deadpool & Wolverine, adding $113.6M in its fourth global weekend and posting Nolan's biggest Korean opening at $14.4M.
