Actor Hayden Panettiere, known for roles in ‘Heroes’ and ‘Nashville,’ dies at 36 - NBC News

Actor Hayden Panettiere, known for roles in "Heroes" and "Nashville," died at age 36, her father Skip Panettiere announced in a statement Sunday night describing her passing as tragic.
She was found unresponsive Sunday at an apartment complex in Greenville where she had been temporarily staying, following a 1:50 p.m. 911 call reporting a suspected cardiac arrest made by an acquaintance, and was pronounced dead at 2:32 p.m.
The Greenville County Coroner's Office said the cause of death remains pending further investigation; an autopsy completed Monday found no signs of trauma that would have contributed to the death.
Police said the preliminary investigation showed no signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances, and the case is being examined by the Greenville Police Department together with the coroner's office.
Panettiere recently published a memoir, "This Is Me: A Reckoning," in which she disclosed past struggles with postpartum depression and addiction that led to her decision in 2018 to give up custody of her daughter, Kaya Evdokia Klitschko, whom she shared with former partner and Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko.
She had also spoken publicly about grieving her younger brother, actor Jansen Panettiere, who died unexpectedly in 2023 from an undiagnosed heart condition; born and raised in Palisades, New York, Panettiere had reflected on the loss during an appearance on NBC's "TODAY" show.
