The Tate brothers have been arrested in Miami, officials say - CNN

US Marshals arrested social media influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate in Miami on Saturday under an extradition request from the United Kingdom, following an investigation into sexual offenses reported by seven alleged victims, according to the UK Crown Prosecution Service.
UK officials accuse the brothers of abusing women in the East of England, north of London, between 2010 and 2017, with Andrew Tate facing 42 charges including rape, human trafficking, indecent images of a child, and assault, while Tristan Tate faces 17 charges including sexual assault, rape, and trafficking.
Bedfordshire Assistant Chief Constable Karena Thomas said the force's major crime unit worked closely with the Crown Prosecution Service and national and international law enforcement on the complex investigation.
The US Department of Justice confirmed the arrests were made in line with treaties and law enforcement agreements governing extraditions, and the brothers are due to appear in Miami federal court on Monday.
Attorney Joseph McBride said the brothers are innocent and will reject the extradition request, arguing a long-standing agreement bars the UK from seeking extradition while Romanian proceedings are ongoing; he claimed they were arrested over their politics and held in solitary confinement.
Romanian prosecutors have separately accused the brothers of trafficking and sexually exploiting women across Romania, the UK, and the US, allegations the Tates have repeatedly denied, while advocates have warned about their growing influence among young men and boys.
