Sean "Diddy" Combs was placed in solitary confinement after a fight with another inmate at Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Fort Dix in New Jersey, according to multiple reports.
The 56-year-old music mogul is serving a 50-month sentence following his conviction last year on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, and he began the term at Fort Dix in October.
The altercation reportedly started after the other inmate made a comment to Combs; the rapper "held his own" during the physical fight, which staff quickly broke up, per TMZ. It remains unclear whether the other inmate was also placed in solitary.
Combs was assigned to the low-security facility partly for its drug rehabilitation program and its closeness to his family.
His 2025 trial featured testimony from former girlfriend Casandra "Cassie" Ventura, who alleged he subjected her to repeated physical abuse, rape and forced sexual encounters involving drugs.
A representative for Combs declined to comment, while the Federal Bureau of Prisons said it does not disclose details about inmates' housing assignments or any allegations, investigations or sanctions for privacy, safety and security reasons.
