Wings' Fudd tops Fire's Carleton to win WNBA 3-point shootout - ESPN

Dallas Wings guard Azzi Fudd, the 2026 No. 1 overall pick, won the WNBA All-Star 3-point shooting contest in Chicago on Friday, becoming the first rookie in league history to claim the title.
Fudd scored 30 of a possible 40 points in the final round, defeating Portland Fire forward Bridget Carleton, who tallied 19, and missed only six of her 27 shots overall.
She credited her parents for her shooting form and said her repeatable technique developed during rehab from injuries, including a torn right ACL and meniscus in November 2023 that involved extensive stationary "chair shooting."
This season, Fudd ranks 10th in the WNBA with 2.0 3-pointers per game and 53 total made, and earned $70,000 for the win, $30,000 of it guaranteed under the new CBA guideline.
The night also featured the league's first Shooting Stars competition, replacing the skills challenge, with four teams of three players from different generations shooting from seven spots on the floor within 70 seconds.
Team Washington, made up of Hall of Famer Elena Delle Donne, Mystics forward Shakira Austin and Nike EYBL player Jezelle "GG" Banks, won by beating Team Seattle, splitting an $85,000 prize plus $22,500 each.
