iOS 27 Available Tomorrow With These 8 New Features - MacRumors

Apple will release iOS 27 widely on Monday, September 14, following its iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo event, with the update expected around 10 a.m. Pacific Time via Settings → General → Software Update.
The software is compatible with the iPhone 11 series and newer, though Siri AI and other Apple Intelligence features require an iPhone 15 Pro or later.
The headline feature is Siri AI, a ChatGPT-like assistant with a dedicated app that can draw on personal information stored on the device, has on-screen awareness, and performs actions across more apps; it is initially English-only, subject to daily usage limits, with expanded access planned for a fee, and it will not launch in the EU due to Apple's regulatory dispute with the European Commission.
Additional Apple Intelligence tools include new "Extend" and "Reframe" options in Photos, photorealistic image generation in Image Playground, shortcut creation by description, and generated video descriptions for HomeKit Secure Video cameras.
The Liquid Glass design introduced in iOS 26 has been refined with more uniform refraction, improved contrast, sharper app icons, and a new slider to adjust how clear or tinted the interface appears.
iOS 27 also brings performance gains, with app launches up to 30% faster, photo library loading up to 70% faster, and AirDrop transfers up to 80% faster, plus a new iPhone Handoff feature that lets users switch between two iPhones using the same phone number.
