Leaked Galaxy S26 FE firmware shows wallpapers, hints at One UI 9.5 - SamMobile

Leaked Galaxy S26 FE firmware accessed by SamMobile contains a banner asset intended for One UI 9.5 in the software update menu, though this does not mean the device runs that version.
Samsung is expected to ship the Galaxy S26 FE with One UI 9 out of the box, as the company frequently embeds assets for future software releases in firmware before deploying them.
One UI 9.5 is likely to debut with the Galaxy S27 lineup in 2027, with a beta program for existing devices possibly arriving toward the end of the year.
The new One UI 9.5 update banner abandons the previous designs—One UI 8.5 used large circular shapes and One UI 9 arranged them to resemble the number 9—in favor of three large curved pink lines.
The leak also revealed the Galaxy S26 FE's default wallpapers, which match those found on the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, reflecting the FE's place within the same lineup.
Samsung could unveil the Galaxy S26 FE in late August or early September, following the Galaxy S25 FE, which went on sale on September 4 last year. One UI 9 currently remains limited to the Galaxy S26 series and Samsung's Galaxy Z8 foldables.
