Five teachers were killed Friday when a 14-year-old gunman opened fire at a secondary school in Thailand's Nonthaburi province, north of Bangkok, in what officials described as the country's deadliest school shooting in years.
Before the attack, the suspect killed his two grandparents at the home where he lived; police said the handgun used belonged to his grandfather, though how the teen accessed it remains under investigation.
More than 30 people, including students, were injured, and the youth turned the weapon on himself and later died, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said.
